The Hardtke Travel Ball program is designed to help the player get to the next level.  We want to win games, win tournaments BUT we will not do it at the expense of a player's pride and potential loss for the love of the game of baseball.  All skills will be taught.  In the older ages it will be a re-inforcement of what their high school coaches have taught them.  In baseball it is a game of repetition.  Through proper skill repetition, the player will then improve.  This will make the game  more fun and very successful for the player.  For the younger ages they will learn many concepts of the game which they have probably not learned before this experience.  Most important will be to learn the mental side of the game.  Learn how to slow the game down so they can perform at their highest possible level.  Play the game like you are in the backyard with your friends.  Play the game, have fun so you can love the game.

The players will also learn how to respect the game of baseball.  By practicing hard and hustling during the game.  By exercising good judgment and sportmanship with his competitors.  And by learning how to "fly in formation" with the team concept of the game.  Baseball is a "WE" game not an "I" game.  One player can't dictate the outcome of a game unless he has 8 others working together with him.  The game of baseball is a tough and sometimes negative game.  If one player tries to put the game on his shoulders, it will make it very difficult for him to succeed.

The final element in the Hardtke Travel Ball program is having an experienced staff of seasoned veteran coaches.  All of our coaches have played at high levels and have experienced the "ups & downs" of the game of baseball.  Coaches shouldn't coach unless they remember how difficult it is to play the game of baseball.  Coaches that keep that in mind will have more patience with players during their development process.  Let's all win our games BUT lets be sure that the players are better at the end of the season than they were at the beginning of the season.  That's our goal at the Hardtke Baseball Academy.

Hardtke's invites you to participate in the Hardtke Baseball Travel Ball Summer, Fall & Winter programs. 2010 Grads or those players who play a fall high school sport would only participate in the Summer Session. The highlights of the program are a click away at your appropiate age level.  All 2011 grads or later are committing to the Fall/Winter sessions.
